What A Bad Day
2 Days 1 Night in Gleneagles Hospital (part2)
I was having a total trouble with my grandmother. I had a hard time communicate with her just because I couldn't understand her language or hokkien slang. I tried every single sign language to talk to her but she/I still cannot understand what were us expressing to each other. But the best part was I didn't understand what on earth she was scolding me because I couldn't understand what she was talking about, so wont feel hurt when she scolded me.
It seems that we both were from two total different worlds, one talking in mandarin and can only listen to mandarin while the other one can only understand and talk in hokkien... haiz...
What a miserable day... In the morning I kept on calling my father and mother who can talk hokkien to her, I on my hp loudspeaker so she wont feel boring..My mom really did a great translation job for me..the mechanism was I let grandma talk to my mom and my mom translated her statement in mandarin.. Thanks a lot for the Digi family package which my father subscribed which let me talk to my parents with no charge at all.
Then the breakfast came. She asked me to finish all the food as she lost the appetite to eat... this is a very common problem among the elderly - anorexia(no appetite to eat).
I stuffed everything inside my mouth but left aside the bowl of quarter boiled egg (still very raw and smelly). So, what I did? I put into a plastic bag without being spotted by her(she was sleeping that time), silently tip toed to the toilet.Threw the egg into the toiled bowl and of course I threw the plastic into the dustbin. Finally, FLUSH! TaDa!
She checked the bowl and cup whether I finished the food (she didn't like people wasting food). She felt satisfied and went back to sleep.I was eagerly waiting for my dad and aunt to come and fetch her... I call my dad many times.. to make sure that he was on his way to here because I can't wait to go home.
Furthermore I feel pity of grandma having no 'companion' to talk with... and she also didn't like the surrounding of the hospital, she scared of nurse whom forced her to wear diaper and forced her to shower..etc. In fact she didn't even know she was in a hospital... How can I proof this? Well, at night she asked me whether everybody was inside the house and lock the door.. Then I replied yes, the door was locked and everybody was inside. Then, she slept (she was fast asleep).'I heard the snoring'.
Eventually at about 11am, I felt a surge of relief when my aunt and father came to bring her home.Nurses wheel chaired her to my father's car which parked right in front of the main entrance. My aunt and dad using all their effort to lift grandma to the car seat. I just can stand aside and watch them helplessly... 'what can I do?' I seat in another car which my uncle drove me home. 'What a fantastic experience!'

Hari Harta Intelek- The End of Exhibition
From 4'oclock onwards more and more booths were closing. I was waiting the instruction from my boss/my father-Mr Jimmy to close the booth.
Shortly after 5.30 pm I walked to the main booth to have a peek(whether they started packing). My brother and cousin brother both were busy packing. Then I went to the 2nd booth to pack. Dumping everything into a box and throwing rubbish into dustbin. I switched off the glass cabinet light and kept those wires and extension inside the box.
I didn't know why I was so enthusiastic when the time came to closing the booth. I just couldn't wait, I guess that was similar thing that happened to everybody-a surge of excitement when the job was done.
The box was carried to the main booth together with other stuffs. I left the glass cabinet there, let the Boss did the job.
Finally everything was done only left was to carry those things into the cars. My brother using all his effort to push the trolley loaded with stuffs to somewhere nearby the Big Door which waiting to be opened.
We waited and waited eagerly to see the Big Door opened. I even recorded that moment with my camera... I didn't expect it took a very long time to open the door, may be the Big Metal Door was too heavy. Within minutes we finished shifting the stuffs into cars. "Well Done!" Was time to go home.. bye bye
The Story of a Knife
Knife is an essential cutting tool. I try to remember on the birthday of Chang and Intan which we celebrated their birthday in Pizza Hut. Kavita was trying her best to cut a piece of pizza. She moved her knife back and forth several times and looked so hard to cut it. Soon our conversation started.
Me : It looks so hard for you to cut the pizza. Try put some more pressure to the knife.
Kavita : Cannot laa.. it doesn't look nice to cut in that manner. I'm a girl maa.. cut gently.. You know if my boy friend is here I will cut slower than like this..(that is regarded the fastest speed for her). Then only my boyfriend will help me to cut the pizza.. If I cut fast fast it looks rough for a girl then my boy friend 'cabutlah!'
Me : Hahaha...(laughing) :) So next time you may ask the waiter to get a sharper knife for you (aha, just kidding)
Layveeniea: I also like that.. You know (once upon a time) when last time I went to Kenny Rogers I cut the chicken also like hell... I cut a few minutes still cannot do.. Then my boy friend take my chicken and cut for me.... He separate all the meat from the chicken and put the bone aside (debone the chicken lahh..)... hahaha lol..

JPA Interview
I went to the interview this afternoon. Well, I was not satisfied with myself. The only thing I wanted to say is be prepared. Better to prepare a script than you ends up mumbling nothing.. There were three interviewers where they will interview you by group (5 persons in a group). My group panel consists of 2 doctors from UM and 1 engineer from JKR (graduated from Ireland). First they ask us to intro ourselves one by one.. name, no. of siblings, ex-school, why you chosen the course, who inspired you (don't ever mention parents) etc..
Then follow up by question. This session last for 45 minutes. The first question they allow us to do group discussion 2 minutes about what is our opinion with the scholars who were sponsored by JPA they working oversea instead of going back to M'sia. Some say they should pay back the money some say they should be pinalised some say Gov should offer rewards to them so that they would come back to Malaysia.
Everyone had their respective opinions. Then the 2nd question .. Then 3rd Question: How would you overcome the culture differences when JPA send you to study abroad? The first girl and the 2nd girl (me) answered try to tolerate with their culture. Then I don't know why suddenly it changed topic to" where the country 'you' would like to study abroad?" 3 people answered Australia because it is claimed that Australia offer the best Quality of education. While Lin (the first girl) answered she wanted to study medics in Ireland. Since then I noticed that I was the only one who chose a third world country as a country of my choice to study medics which is Indonesia. The panel asked Lin "why you choose Ireland?" She answered because the quality of education is good, better facility, more dead bodies for practical usage. Then two panels who are the doctors laughed. They talk with each other "why don't choose India, can get fresh, cheap bodies everyday....
When they asked me to explain why I had chosen Indonesia? Well, I said because the country has large population a lot of accidents happened very frequently and can get to know to all kind of diseases (actually I was blank that time I don't know what to say..).The undergraduates can train themselves to handle with critical situation.
Among the 5 of us 2 chosen medics who were me and Lin. 1 had chosen dentistry who was Shu Jin. The other 2 , Sin Yin and Fikah(she changed course from medics to pharmacy during interview time) had chosen pharmacy.
At the end of the interview there is an Q&A session. We asked the doctors to share their experience with us.... Well, that was how the interview ends.

Setiawangsa Jaya Jusco
Setiawangsa Jaya Jusco was newly opened to the public on the 5Th of December. My brother, sister and me went to shopping at the shopping mall yesterday. We walked non-stop for nearly 4 hours. That was tiring and showed how big it was, twice the size of Wangsa Maju Jaya Jusco. It also provide a great selection of products.

Olympus Lens Cap Memory
First Time to Puduraya Bus Station
The house phone rang twice at night, that annoyed me. I answered the call, it was from my dad. He rushed home with mom to get my mom's phone, my first thought was "how careless she is". My mother was going back to her hometown Johor to pay a visit her old parents who were ill. She was going to Pudu Bus station to take an ekspress bus, Mayang Sari. My father reached home and quicky called my sister to find a "companion" to help my mom to bring those heavy baggage. I vonluntered. My father was an experinced and smart driver, smarter than a F1 driver. Get rid his car from being caught in a traffic jam and try to save time as much as possible through short cuts to reach the desired destination. Finally we reached Pudu bus station on time. I quickly took her luggage and 1, 2, 3.. run! It was 8.15p.m and the bus will set out at 8.30 p.m. I can feel the panic and fear up to my veins. I was totally mad! Went to the first platform running down the staircase with quick pacing and finally there we are. I was relieved. Then I heard something I don't wish to hear. My mom said she need to go to the toilet. She rushed to the toiled and I waited her alone there for nearly 10 minutes, OMG! Then, she came back at 8.30 p.m sharp. I go into the bus, found her seat and unloaded her stuffs. She seated comfortably on her seat. I said good bye to her and I left the bus. Another challenge yet to come. I have to cross the road by using the bridge and go to the opposite site to go search for my dad car and go home! The place and the people there are strangers to me. I saw many Indonesians, Banglas gather at the place, I was not used to that, my anxiety grews. I walked quickly and searched for my dad car.. eventually I found his car and went home.. I feeled like I was in a dream.!! An adventure!
