Hari Harta Intelek- The End of Exhibition

From 4'oclock onwards more and more booths were closing. I was waiting the instruction from my boss/my father-Mr Jimmy to close the booth.

Shortly after 5.30 pm I walked to the main booth to have a peek(whether they started packing). My brother and cousin brother both were busy packing. Then I went to the 2nd booth to pack. Dumping everything into a box and throwing rubbish into dustbin. I switched off the glass cabinet light and kept those wires and extension inside the box.

I didn't know why I was so enthusiastic when the time came to closing the booth. I just couldn't wait, I guess that was similar thing that happened to everybody-a surge of excitement when the job was done.

The box was carried to the main booth together with other stuffs. I left the glass cabinet there, let the Boss did the job.

Finally everything was done only left was to carry those things into the cars. My brother using all his effort to push the trolley loaded with stuffs to somewhere nearby the Big Door which waiting to be opened.

We waited and waited eagerly to see the Big Door opened. I even recorded that moment with my camera... I didn't expect it took a very long time to open the door, may be the Big Metal Door was too heavy. Within minutes we finished shifting the stuffs into cars. "Well Done!" Was time to go home.. bye bye

The Story of a Knife

Knife is an essential cutting tool. I try to remember on the birthday of Chang and Intan which we celebrated their birthday in Pizza Hut. Kavita was trying her best to cut a piece of pizza. She moved her knife back and forth several times and looked so hard to cut it. Soon our conversation started.
Me : It looks so hard for you to cut the pizza. Try put some more pressure to the knife.

Kavita : Cannot laa.. it doesn't look nice to cut in that manner. I'm a girl maa.. cut gently.. You know if my boy friend is here I will cut slower than like this..(that is regarded the fastest speed for her). Then only my boyfriend will help me to cut the pizza.. If I cut fast fast it looks rough for a girl then my boy friend 'cabutlah!'

Me : Hahaha...(laughing) :) So next time you may ask the waiter to get a sharper knife for you (aha, just kidding)
Layveeniea: I also like that.. You know (once upon a time) when last time I went to Kenny Rogers I cut the chicken also like hell... I cut a few minutes still cannot do.. Then my boy friend take my chicken and cut for me.... He separate all the meat from the chicken and put the bone aside (debone the chicken lahh..)... hahaha lol..

2 Days 1 Night in Gleneagles Hospital !

Can't wait to tell you the story. I had been 2 days 1 night in the hospital. I sleep in the hospital accompanying my grandma. Did I see a ghost? No. Did I hear the sound of a ghost? No. In fact I just hear the loud snoring sound of my grandma. I regard that as the loudest snoring in the 'World' can get into the Genius Book Record. Sooner the sound turned feeble. I was not used to the quietness in the hospital. I lied on the chair while listening to my favorite music station(mix.fm). I was half conscious in the sleep. It was half past two in the morning. Suddenly my grandma woke up, she cried my father name: 'Agoi, agoi...' i startled 'what is the matter' I thought. I said to her:' anything'? Then she slept back. I thought she was having a bad dream. A few minutes later she awake again. This time she wanted to go to the toilet. I accompany her to the toilet . It was hard for him both of her legs cannot move she had to use full strength of her hand muscles to move hereslf. I helped her at the side. I had never thought to ring the bell to call the nurses because she still can walk(slowly) and moreover she feel ashamed with the nurses. She walked slowly with the support of a yellow chair. Slowly walking while pushing the yellow chair in the dark corridor to toilet. Finally she can't stand any more, she urinate in her trousers. She told me that and I listened, I saw the floor was stained will urine. Eventually she reached the toilet. And yet it was another hard time for her to unwear the trousers and underwear and sit on the toilet bowl. Althought I helped her but it doesn't help much because I'm not strong to lift her. After that she walked back to her bed slowly as I watched from behind and give her assistance as needed. Under the dim light she can still manage to tie her underwear. She spent about 20 minutes to do that. It was hard for her under the weak visibility and I didn't want to switched on the light which I may afraid to awake other people. Then she went to sleep. I woke up in the morning , the light slowly crept in I looked at the watch it was 6.30 am. Feeling a bit boring I walked along the corridor in the room. Suddenly I stepped on something nasty, the figured out the watery stuff.. oppss.. it was urine, surely from grandma. I quickly wiped it out.

My new casio watch!

I bought this watch online. Just received it in this afternoon. It was a Casio Lady watch priced at RM92.00 with free postage from this Mywatch seller. Quite happy with the watch although the colour is a bit dull compared to the picture posted in the store and the size is a bit smaller than I expected. The first thought came into my mind when I saw the size of the watch, so small like a children watch." Then I think again:"  a lady watch must be small." Reasonable is it?

I remember my eData Bank casio watch which I look for signals in outside, but actually it has no signal, it is a type of watch which we need to type in all times and data manually into the watch, the eData Bank literally means it has big data storage.

N82 Gps Map Locating My House

Opps.. Not so clear.. The pointer is actually pointing at Setapak Jaya (My house) area.. cannot zoom in anymore.. must download google map to see the high clarity map like what my brother did and he showed off to me. I feel jealous of him.

Gleneagles Toiletries

My father brought back this paper bag from Gleneagles.
The contents of the paper bag: Toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, soap, plastic cup, face towel, equal(sugar) a plastic teaspoon and BOH tea.

My sister asked why he brought back that thing? Don't he know that grandma(hospitalized) may want to use that? Well, think grandma has no strength to wake up moreover has to take a bath? Irrational right? The nurses will surely clean up for her.

A Critical Moment in Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre KL

My grandmother was admitted to Gleneagles Hospital on Sunday. She was unconcious and had a high fever. My father speculated that she was having dengue but his assumption was wrong, probably some kind of elderly illness. My parents, me and relatives went to hospital to visit her. She was lying on the bed, sleeping. We chattered with relatives for a while then the nurses came to change her diaper and other necessity, we were asked to went out for a moment. Later on something went wrong, nurses rushing in and out. We as the bystanders don't know what actually happened. Then my father asked the nurse, she informed my father that grandma BP(blood pressure) dropped suddenly. The doctor came for a check, it couldn't help the situation. She was admitted to ICU. We had to wait outside at the lobby since we were not allowed to go in except for my father who was allowed to enter the room with the company of a doctor. A cardiologist checked her.... Then my father came out after a 'looooong while', we were relieved to hear that her situation was now stable. She can even talk now. She said:"it was too cold in the morning." She was referring to the Glenegles air-cond which was too cold. I pray in the heart that she will get well soon. May God Bless Her.

Sea Coconut Dessert (Part 2)

A big contrast between peeled sea coconut(translucent) and raw "unprocessed"sea coconut which stands out among 'the rest'. I like the peeled sea coconut because I like the sensation of touching slimy and jelly like sea coconut.
A mass of unwanted sea coconut skins.

Chocolate Sponge Cake

Sorry if the sponge cake doesn't look so pretty to you but as long as it taste good that is okay for me because I used a mixer which is not used for mixing batter ('mixer have to take the blame!') . I baked this chocolate sponge cake in this afternoon with just some simple ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 130g Castor sugar
  • 120g self-rising flour
  • 1tbsp bicarbonate soda powder
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 60g butter
Prepare a 20cm round cake pan lined with parchment paper. Preheat oven at 190 degree Celsius. Separate the eggs. Whisk the egg white with sugar first and then add in egg yolk, flour, melted butter, soda and cocoa powder, continue to beat until pale and thick ( I prefer using a mixer).

Turn batter into the lined cake pan and bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden brown. Leave to cool in the pan for 2-3 minutes before turning out to cool completely.

Brother Birthday

My 3rd elder brother celebrated his 19 year old birthday yesterday. My 2nd elder brother bought KFC to celebrate it . Unfortunately he was away during that time, he went out to celebrate with his fellow friends so me and other family members may as well just ate that without him. Yum..yum. It was so yummy. I ate a lot and was so full that time that I can't even move... take a break ..hehehe

Hot Dog Bun

Ingredients (A):
  • 250g high protein flour
  • 50g flour
  • 50g sugar
  • 1 egg (B size)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp milk powder
  • 1 tsp yeast
  • 1/4 tsp bread improver
  • 160ml water
  • 25g shortening
  • 10 hot dog sausages
  • This was the first time I baked buns. The first thing I did was to search for recipe sheet in the internet from My Kuali. You may try it out it was fun and really take your patience. Why did I say so..? In this case you may have a look at the procedure or method, Combine (A) in a mixing bowl. Add water and knead with a dough hook in the electric mixer for two minutes on slow speed, then continue for another two minutes on medium speed. Mix in shortening and continue to knead for a minute on slow speed. Turn to medium speed and knead for 10 minutes until dough comes together in a lump. Finish by kneading for a minute on maximum speed. Place dough on a lightly-floured surface and round it up into a neat ball. Place the ball of dough in a lightly-floured basin. And cover with cling film. Leave to prove for one hour. Punch down the dough, then rest it for 30 minutes. Cut the dough into 55g to 60g pieces, cover and leave aside for eight minutes. Bake the hot dog sausages on a tray at 190°C for three minutes. Leave to cool slightly, then poke half a satay stick into one end of the hot dog sausage. Flatten each piece of dough with a rolling pin. Place a hot dog on each piece of dough. Roll up the dough tightly and seal up the edge with water to prevent the dough from opening up. Cut slanting slits through the dough to touch the sausage. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds on top of the bun. Leave to prove for 15 to 20 minutes. Brush lightly with beaten egg. Bake the buns at 200°C for five minutes. Lower the temperature to 180°C and continue to bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

    Taking SPM Result Flash Back

All of the students on the stage were from 5 Science 1 . If you found you were inside this picture please do come to school on 18th April for Hari Anugerah Cemerlang.

Scenes That I had captured in Photographs On That Day:

    Sea Coconut Dessert (Part 1)

Yesterday I made sea coconut dessert. I started off with peeling the skin of sea coconut and scoping out tender coconut flesh using steel spoon. What an 'enjoyable day for me' spending hours finishing the peeling of coconut skin. Then I boiled 'Gula Melaka' or our local coconut sugar to make syrup. Subsequently I put all of the coconut inside the boiling syrup. It was being cooked for about 2 hours using low heat. That's all! I can smell the nice and sweet aroma from it and was ready to be served!

    JPA Interview

I went to the interview this afternoon. Well, I was not satisfied with myself. The only thing I wanted to say is be prepared. Better to prepare a script than you ends up mumbling nothing.. There were three interviewers where they will interview you by group (5 persons in a group). My group panel consists of 2 doctors from UM and 1 engineer from JKR (graduated from Ireland). First they ask us to intro ourselves one by one.. name, no. of siblings, ex-school, why you chosen the course, who inspired you (don't ever mention parents) etc..

Then follow up by question. This session last for 45 minutes. The first question they allow us to do group discussion 2 minutes about what is our opinion with the scholars who were sponsored by JPA they working oversea instead of going back to M'sia. Some say they should pay back the money some say they should be pinalised some say Gov should offer rewards to them so that they would come back to Malaysia.

Everyone had their respective opinions. Then the 2nd question .. Then 3rd Question: How would you overcome the culture differences when JPA send you to study abroad? The first girl and the 2nd girl (me) answered try to tolerate with their culture. Then I don't know why suddenly it changed topic to" where the country 'you' would like to study abroad?" 3 people answered Australia because it is claimed that Australia offer the best Quality of education. While Lin (the first girl) answered she wanted to study medics in Ireland. Since then I noticed that I was the only one who chose a third world country as a country of my choice to study medics which is Indonesia. The panel asked Lin "why you choose Ireland?" She answered because the quality of education is good, better facility, more dead bodies for practical usage. Then two panels who are the doctors laughed. They talk with each other "why don't choose India, can get fresh, cheap bodies everyday....

When they asked me to explain why I had chosen Indonesia? Well, I said because the country has large population a lot of accidents happened very frequently and can get to know to all kind of diseases (actually I was blank that time I don't know what to say..).The undergraduates can train themselves to handle with critical situation.

Among the 5 of us 2 chosen medics who were me and Lin. 1 had chosen dentistry who was Shu Jin. The other 2 , Sin Yin and Fikah(she changed course from medics to pharmacy during interview time) had chosen pharmacy.

At the end of the interview there is an Q&A session. We asked the doctors to share their experience with us.... Well, that was how the interview ends.
