'Green' Lamps

Guess what? Green lamps here refers to lamps which are made from used and recyclable materials. My brother and his classmates made the lamps. The 'lamps project' is their home work given from their class.

Setiawangsa Jaya Jusco

The front.

Clothing and apparel department.

A lot of canned foods.

A tall christmas tree is placed at the hall during Christmas season.

A variety of eggs.

Setiawangsa Jaya Jusco was newly opened to the public on the 5Th of December. My brother, sister and me went to shopping at the shopping mall yesterday. We walked non-stop for nearly 4 hours. That was tiring and showed how big it was, twice the size of Wangsa Maju Jaya Jusco. It also provide a great selection of products.

Olympus Lens Cap Memory

My father bought his very own and the first DSLR, the Olympus E-510 at the early year of 2008. He was offered with a quite tempting price, that is RM2500 with kit lens, polarizing filter, a UV filter, screen protector, a bag, a tripod and a 2Gb memory card by a seller at Foto Flash camera shop at Jaya Jusco. Now the camera was nearly one year old. I grumbled a lot about the camera but at the end I know that it was my fault- I didn't know how to use the camera properly. Well what did you expect about this camera? To be 100% perfect? Well, I admitted that every camera had its own defects including this camera....

First Time to Puduraya Bus Station

The house phone rang twice at night, that annoyed me. I answered the call, it was from my dad. He rushed home with mom to get my mom's phone, my first thought was "how careless she is". My mother was going back to her hometown Johor to pay a visit her old parents who were ill. She was going to Pudu Bus station to take an ekspress bus, Mayang Sari. My father reached home and quicky called my sister to find a "companion" to help my mom to bring those heavy baggage. I vonluntered. My father was an experinced and smart driver, smarter than a F1 driver. Get rid his car from being caught in a traffic jam and try to save time as much as possible through short cuts to reach the desired destination. Finally we reached Pudu bus station on time. I quickly took her luggage and 1, 2, 3.. run! It was 8.15p.m and the bus will set out at 8.30 p.m. I can feel the panic and fear up to my veins. I was totally mad! Went to the first platform running down the staircase with quick pacing and finally there we are. I was relieved. Then I heard something I don't wish to hear. My mom said she need to go to the toilet. She rushed to the toiled and I waited her alone there for nearly 10 minutes, OMG! Then, she came back at 8.30 p.m sharp. I go into the bus, found her seat and unloaded her stuffs. She seated comfortably on her seat. I said good bye to her and I left the bus. Another challenge yet to come. I have to cross the road by using the bridge and go to the opposite site to go search for my dad car and go home! The place and the people there are strangers to me. I saw many Indonesians, Banglas gather at the place, I was not used to that, my anxiety grews. I walked quickly and searched for my dad car.. eventually I found his car and went home.. I feeled like I was in a dream.!! An adventure!

Shelling Ginkgo Nuts

Have you seen ginkgo nuts before? There it is. I suddenly caught sight of a round prism shaped nut. That is very unusual for me.

Firstly, shell the hard shell of the ginkgo nuts. Then peel off their brown coloured thin skin.
Cut the shelled ginkgo into half. Do you see the embryo like structure there? That is the core, it is bitter in taste and quite toxic, that is why we need to remove it.

You can use a toothpick or a knife to remove the core.

Yummy Muffin

My sister baked some muffins for breakfast today. How to make a nutritious and delicious breakfast muffin? Here is the recipe:
  • 225g flour
  • 1tbsp baking powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 100 g vegetable oil
  • 225ml milk
  • 150g sugar
  • 2 eggs
Preheat the oven at 170 °C for 5 minutes. Mix the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl and then add in the wet ingredients and mix until the mixture become smooth. Fill the batter into each of the muffin cups until 70% filled or any proportion depends on you. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until they turns golden brown at 170 °C. To check whether they are thoroughly cooked, poke the muffin with wooden chopstick, if no wet four stick to the chopstick that means they are ready to be served. Serve them hot with a cup of tea. Enjoy!

A 'Love' Letter From Australia

Don't misunderstand, the term love here means a true friendship. That is the letter sent by my good old friend, Ching Sin. Ching Sin I received it today, thanks for the letter. After being apart for 5 years, we finally meet again. That is the power of friendship which will never drew us apart. She migrated to Australia for last 3 years and she is now studying in Australia. Hmm.. Talking about migration, does anyone know any place in the world that is the best place for our Malaysians to find some 'peace' or better living environment? Which country would be the best place to migrate? My geography techer suggested here, probably Australia and New Zealand. In fact many seniors from my secondary school already migrated to Australia.Well, what about you?

Sending The Books Back to The SPBT Room

Luvlynn was so busy with the books while the teacher was checking the books sent, whether they were complete. Everybody was queuing up to pass up the books. It was a common scene after the SPM was finished.

Thank you teachers!

Teachers, thank you for looking after us, care for our 'needs'.

What happen in the last day of SPM?

Geography was the last subject. We were so relax. Layveeniea and the gang were joking and laughing. Me too... I was not looking serious neither. I was trying to be serious but I can't!

We have finished !Look!
They were teachers (guru pemeriksa) from Sekolah Menengah Teknik Setapak. Those teachers were busy packing. Then we helped the one of the teacher shift some stuffs to her car.
